First some examples from real data are provided. Next, the basic concept of parallel processing is presented, along with on-board parallel processing hardware. Reconfigurable parallel processing is then introduced. This is followed by a detailed introduction to Filed-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs). Lastly, the FPGAs are applied to the linear unmixing problem.
