Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) systems are introduced, followed by a description of the four major scenarios used in SAR applications: (1) SAR Interferometry (InSAR), (2) Differential SAR Interferometry (DInSAR), (3) SAR Polarimetry (PolSAR), and (4) Multitemporal SAR. Lastly, four application areas are covered: (1) Snow Cover Analysis and Characterization, (2) Ships and Ocean Monitoring, (3) Ground Moving Target Indication, and (4) Wetlands Monitoring.
