Both theoretical and implementation aspects are covered, including successful algorithms and case studies. Two main types of techniques are detailed: (1) spectral unmixing, which analyzes the data taking into account the possibility that several different materials are mixed together in one pixel; and (2) classification techniques, whcih assume that the spectral response of each pixel is dominated by a main single substance.
